Diesel Fitter Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team for major earthwork projects in the Western Downs Area.

Key responsibilities include conducting servicing, maintenance and repairs on civil earthworks equipment including trucks, dozers, graders, compactors, rollers, excavators, and posi-tracks.

The ideal candidate will be able to work within project rules and regulations at all times, liaise with direct managers and supervisors daily and thoroughly diagnose and repair faults.

A key aspect of this role is working to tight schedules while maintaining the highest standards.

Requirements:
  • A current driver's license is preferred but not essential.
  • The successful candidate must be a fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
  • They must be confident in all aspects of plant repairs and have sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions.
  • Knowledge of drivetrain, brakes and suspension is also required as well as basic auto electrical knowledge.
  • Competence with computers and digital diagnostics is essential.
  • An outstanding work ethic and commitment to getting the job done are also essential requirements.
