We are seeking trade-qualified Diesel Fitters to join our Liberty Street branch in Cairns, the largest CRG center in Far North Queensland Become a vital part of Hastings Deering's next chapter and join our team today. There are multiple Permanent Monday to Friday positions available

As a Diesel Fitter in our new branch you will:

• Work with new state-of-the-art machinery and learn from skilled technicians

• Repair, maintain and service key CAT machinery and components

• Equipment Assembly of Caterpillar equipment

• Use Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS)

• Perform diagnostic assessments on mining, general construction, and power generation equipment

• Work as part of a skilled and driven team

• Work in a fast-paced environment to achieve target times for repairs

About You

A successful teammate will have:

• Certificate III in Engineering and Mechanical or similar qualifications

• Knowledge of engine reconditioning and rebuilds

• Demonstrated service and repair experience on heavy machinery

• Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems or similar experience in motor mechanics and agriculture/sugar farming

• Proven ability to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety

• A customer driven focus and commitment to continuous improvement

• Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control
