This is an exciting opportunity to utilise knowledge of water and sewer networks in our Water Operations Centre. As a Systems Controller, you will play a crucial role in the operation of your local community's water and sewer system.
Key Responsibilities- To be successful in this position, you will contribute to the operation of water and sewer systems, working in a dynamic and customer-focused team.
- You will monitor system availability, configuration, and performance in real-time.
- Proactive control of system operations is key to minimising the impact of system failures.
- Prioritise and triage work orders for the dispatch of work crews.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to field staff as required.
- A Certificate IV qualification in Engineering or a related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in water and/or sewage network management.
- A current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Experience and understanding of operational management of distributed networks of assets.
- Knowledge and understanding of water, wastewater, and networks.
- The ability to effectively utilise information technology, including computerised control & monitoring systems (e.g. SCADA) and geographical information systems.
