Environmental Health Lead

This role is responsible for leading and managing a team of experts in public health to support the Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) in meeting its statutory responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a multi-disciplinary technical practice area of health impact assessment to integrate public health into strategic advice and regulatory decision making.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading a team of public health professionals in conducting health impact assessments and providing expert advice to the EPA.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, academia, and industry partners.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest evidence and research in public health and environmental pollution and waste.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualifications in a health science related field or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in public health data analysis and application of health assessment in environmental regulation.
- Postgraduate qualifications in public health, health impact assessment, environmental and applied epidemiology or biostatistics preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public health principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
