Electrician Position Overview">

Job Title: Electrician - Locomotive Component Overhaul & Maintenance

This is a full-time role that involves the overhaul, maintenance and servicing of locomotives, wagons, passenger carriages and other rolling stock at our facility in Bohle. The position requires an individual with experience in locomotive, wagon or passenger carriage (rolling stock) maintenance and overhaul.

The ideal candidate will have a trade certificate as an electrical fitter/machinist, hold a QLD Electrical Work License and have previous experience on rolling stock. Additional certifications such as forklift operation, EWP and Working at Heights would be beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, servicing and overhaul work on rolling stock according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Read, interpret and work from plans, diagrams and technical specifications to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
  • Conduct assembly, disassembly and component maintenance following best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Participate in general workshop duties and contribute to the safe and efficient operations of the team.

Requirements:

  • Trade certificate as an electrical fitter/machinist
  • QLD Electrical Work License
  • Previous experience on rolling stock
  • Additional certifications such as forklift operation, EWP and Working at Heights
