Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Job Opportunity">

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, overhauls and general workshop duties on rolling stock and locomotives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing tasks on locomotives, wagons, passenger carriages and site equipment
  • Read, interpret and work from plans, diagrams and technical specifications
  • Conduct assembly, disassembly and component maintenance following best practices
  • Participate in general workshop activities and contribute to safe and efficient team operations
Requirements:
  • Australian recognised trade certificate and valid QLD Electrical Work Licence - Electrical Fitter/Mechanic
  • Previous experience working with rolling stock is highly regarded
  • Additional certifications such as Forklift, EWP and Working at Heights would be advantageous
  • Solid understanding of machinery and equipment maintenance and repair principles
  • Strong knowledge of technical drawing interpretation and specification adherence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and time management skills
