Financial Analysis Expert Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering operational budgeting and financial reporting processes. You will ensure compliance with policies, statutory requirements, and external regulators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, maintain and manage accounting and financial information using appropriate systems and processes
  • Facilitate a robust and consistent approach to financial management and reporting across the division
  • Ensure compliance with government policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements

You will also be responsible for reviewing financial and budget performance, analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, identifying financial impacts and risks, providing commercial insight and high-level expert advice to executives, liaising with stakeholders on relevant financial matters to inform decision making, highlight financial risk, and support achievement of efficiency targets and strategic outcomes.

In addition, you will implement strategies to enhance financial capability, and manage and coordinate a team to provide advice, support, and coaching.

The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience with applicable technology platforms and business processes, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop a successful finance support team.

You will have comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of current accounting, management reporting, and forecasting practices to deliver high-level strategic and tactical financial advice. You will have proven experience in using financial systems used for financial planning and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

You will also have a proven track record of stakeholder engagement, in addition to strong and well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
