We are seeking a group of community-minded individuals to assist with the delivery of essential non-perishable food items to vulnerable people in metropolitan Melbourne.
The role involves driving an AV Aid van from our base in Fitzroy to various locations, including Sydenham, Sunshine, and Craigieburn. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading goods, setting up distribution stalls, and interacting with clients.
- Drive the AV Aid van between designated locations
- Loading and unloading goods from the van within OHS policy guidelines
- Set up the stall to distribute food items and prepacked food parcels
- Man the stall for the duration of the program and hand out food parcels/items to clients
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ongoing availability on days to be determined between Wednesday and Friday, within business hours
- Be warm, friendly and empathetic in nature with genuine interest in supporting people in need
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Hold a current Victorian Driver's License
Please note that it is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
