We are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Manager to lead our team and drive business growth.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, offering a hybrid work model (3 days office, 2 days home).

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 8-10 direct reports, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and adding value and reducing costs through efficient working, careful scoping, procurement, and innovative design solutions.

You will also manage RES Australia's Technical strategy and risk exposure through resource monitoring and layout design, as well as negotiate third-party consultancy agreements and construction contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing a team (8-10 direct reports)
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Add value and reduce costs (DEVEX, CAPEX, and OPEX) for projects wherever possible
  • Manage RES Australia's Technical strategy and risk exposure through development projects
  • Negotiate relevant third-party consultancy agreements and support the negotiation of relevant sections of third-party construction contracts
Requirements
  • Extensive understanding of wind layout design and energy yield best practice
  • Good understanding of solar layout design and energy yield best practice
  • Good understanding of consultancy contracts or agreements and identifying technical risks within contracts
  • Thorough understanding of power generation economics and financial models, and the economic factors that impact renewable project feasibility
  • Leadership and Time Management skills
  • Ability to navigate through technical problems implementing 'best for project' approach
