About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst / Risk Specialist to join our Financial Accountability Regime team within the Policy and Advice Division at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) across the insurance and superannuation industries.
  • Collaborate with APRA stakeholder teams, ASIC, regulated entities, and industry bodies to successfully implement and embed the regime.
  • Provide specialist risk and technical advice to supervisors and uplift internal capability on FAR / accountability to enable effective supervisory oversight.
  • Develop frameworks, training, and other materials to assist internal stakeholders to implement the regime and embed the post-implementation operating model.
  • Assess and provide technical advice on regulated entities' FAR queries and practices.
  • Contribute to broader initiatives as opportunities arise.
About You

This opportunity is suitable for someone with a passion for transforming governance and accountability in APRA-regulated industries.

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience in governance, risk management, or implementation of regulatory projects across APRA's regulated industries.

Prior experience in an accountability-focused role is highly desirable but not essential.

You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to work with key stakeholders, build relationships, and take ownership to deliver on commitments.

To work with us, you need to be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance.
