We are seeking a senior environmental planner to develop our team's technical capabilities and drive sustainable project outcomes.

As a senior environmental planner, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver high-quality environmental consulting projects that contribute to the growth and development of our business.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance our team's performance and productivity.
  • Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Environmental Consulting: Conduct environmental impact assessments, prepare environmental constraints reports, and scope and manage environmental studies and surveys.
  3. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and design teams to drive sustainable project outcomes.
  4. Team Development: Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, planning, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental planning, impact assessment, and approvals, including NSW projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying New South Wales and Commonwealth environmental planning legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
