Enterprise Risk Partner – Security Management

As the largest electricity generator and energy retailer in Western Australia, Synergy is dedicated to providing reliable electricity to residences and businesses across the Southwest Interconnected System (SWIS).
Role Overview:
The Security Risk Management Business Partner plays a pivotal role within our General Counsel and Governance Team, located in our Perth CBD offices.
This position is designed to offer comprehensive support for the establishment, enhancement, and upkeep of Synergy's Security Management Framework, which encompasses Counter Foreign Interference and the Governance Standard for Security of Critical Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the implementation and governance of the Security Management Framework and the Governance Standard for Security of Critical Infrastructure.
- Assist in the first line review and updates of material risks related to Security of Critical Infrastructure and SFAIRP assessments.
- Conduct second line oversight and monitoring of significant security risks throughout Synergy, including those related to Counter Foreign Interference.
- Aid in the design and execution of second line control validation programs addressing security risks across the organization.
- Support the annual report attestation process for Security of Critical Infrastructure and fulfill all other governance requirements related to security risk.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Enterprise Risk Management, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in operations and corporate risk management within a comparable organization or sector.
- 3-5 years of experience in an enterprise-wide risk management capacity.
- Familiarity with the requirements and applications of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act.
- Understanding of the WA State Government's Countering Foreign Interference Framework.
