Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at WorkFocus Australia. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to regain their independence and achieve their goals in life and work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and shadow the rehab consulting team in conducting Worksite, Functional, Ergonomic, Equipment, and Home ADL Assessments
  • Report writing and other administrative tasks
  • Design, implement, and monitor programs to assist injured employees return to the workforce
  • Liaise with clients, medical practitioners, insurers, and employers to achieve outcomes appropriate for all parties
  • Provide ad hoc support to a multi-disciplinary team of Rehabilitation Consultants to assist clients in recovering from injury

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy, with the ability to obtain AHPRA registration as an OT upon graduation (final year applicants preferred, but all OT students will be considered)
  • Willingness to travel (a current vehicle and driver's license is essential)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Determination to consistently provide a high level of customer service
  • A keen sense of punctuality and the effective ability to manage your time
