Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at WorkFocus. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients in achieving their goals and regaining their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and shadow the rehab consulting team in conducting Worksite, Functional, Ergonomic, Equipment, and Home ADL Assessments
  • Report writing and other administrative tasks
  • Design, implement, and monitor programs to assist injured employees in returning to the workforce
  • Liaise with clients, medical practitioners, insurers, and employers to achieve outcomes that benefit all parties
  • Provide ad-hoc support to a multi-disciplinary team of Rehabilitation Consultants to assist clients in recovering from injury

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy program, with the ability to obtain AHPRA registration as an OT upon graduation (final year applicants preferred)
  • Willingness to travel (a current vehicle and driver's license are essential)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Determination to consistently provide a high level of customer service
  • A keen sense of punctuality and the ability to manage time effectively
