Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for assisting in the everyday payroll processing across our three Preceda Payroll databases.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the security and integrity of payroll data, including the creation of Access Profiles for managers and self-serve users.
- Support the payroll team's functions across all payroll environments, including data maintenance and audit checks.
- Maintain accurate records of fringe benefits and meal entertainment payments, and perform regular audit checks to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by implementing the Society's workplace health and safety practices.
- Assist with administrative tasks and contribute to the implementation of effective risk management procedures.
- Minimum of 6 months payroll experience.
- Knowledge of awards and collective agreements.
- Ability to maintain an audit process on data held within Preceda or similar payroll systems.
- Proven ability to identify and investigate anomalies, and follow up with managers in a cooperative manner.
- Experience managing highly confidential employee details.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with managers and staff at all levels of the Society.
