About the Role

DroneShield is seeking a seasoned Business Director to join its team, based in Canberra or Sydney. This is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven individual to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing global market for counterdrone security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the region, driving growth and revenue
  • Create and prioritize target account lists to maximize sales opportunities
  • Prospect and qualify leads through various channels, including direct outreach and referrals
  • Collaborate with the sales team to set meetings, conduct demos, and visit prospects
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications
  • Represent DroneShield at industry events, showcasing our cutting-edge technology
  • Conduct demonstrations and installations of our counterdrone systems, providing exceptional customer service
  • Contribute to the development of product manuals and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist in providing distributor and end-customer training on product use
Requirements
  • 5-15 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success in the defence sector
  • Strong understanding of complex RF, radar, or similar technologies, with a technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a geographically distributed team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter with a creative lateral thinking approach
