Electrical Project Manager Opportunity

The Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project presents an exciting challenge for a seasoned Electrical Supervisor. This project will see the installation of state-of-the-art pacemaker lighting, aimed at maintaining consistent speed among drivers, while transforming the existing lighting with brighter and more energy-efficient LEDs.

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing work crews, both internal and subcontractors, to deliver the works methodology for the Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project safely. Your leadership role will involve overseeing performance management of people, work programs, and processes.

This includes primary responsibility for defining, planning, executing, and closing activities necessary to successfully deliver the project safely.

Nature of Position:

12 Month Maximum Term, Full Time

Location: Melbourne

Reporting Line: Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise construction and field work crews on site to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide regular reporting on construction progress to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to weekly updates on program progress.
  • Manage subcontractor labour, plant, and equipment availability to meet project deadlines and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure timely supply and delivery of required materials to work crews.
  • Organize access with external stakeholders.
  • Manage the performance of work crews and organize workfronts effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, community, and sustainability requirements throughout project delivery.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you should have demonstrated experience as a supervisor with electrical trade expertise, preferably in industrial and infrastructure projects.

You should also possess:

  • A current Electrical trade license.
  • A valid Driver's license.
  • Knowledge of asset management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electrical and lighting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a tunnel environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
