Medical Administration Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Medical Administration Officer to join our team at Icon Cancer Centre Australia. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our centre.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care and support, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all patients and visitors.
- Coordinate and schedule critical treatment appointments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care.
- Manage and triage referrals for surgery, radiation, and medical oncology treatments, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
- Answer patient queries with empathy and professionalism, providing clear and concise information.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing, handling daily banking and financial transactions with precision.
- Track patient progress through their treatment, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Maintain organized and secure patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
- Coordinate routine and unexpected maintenance tasks, ensuring the centre remains safe and well-maintained.
- Liaise with contractors and external agencies, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
- Previous experience in a hospital, medical practice, or day procedure reception, with a strong understanding of medical reception and administration.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competence with Windows-based programs, including email and word processing software.
- Basic knowledge of medical billing and health insurance claims, including Medicare, Private Health Insurance, and DVA.
