Job Title: Aps5 & Aps6 Policy Officers

Job Description:

Sitting within a large federal government department, this team has been established to provide advice and regulatory guidelines to ensure Australia's critical infrastructure is protected from threats such as cyber and supply chain.

You will be supporting a newly created team responsible for developing the organization's future operating model. Your responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and developing new policy proposals for review
  • Conducting research and analysis across various sources to inform policy decisions
  • Undertaking costing and budget review related to new policies
  • Supporting internal and external stakeholder consultation processes
  • Developing frameworks for monitoring and regulating policy implications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in these positions, you must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to draft various documentation to a high level, research and analysis skills, knowledge of or ability to engage with legislation, regulations, policy, and frameworks, and excellent stakeholder engagement abilities.
