Senior Policy Analyst - Key Role

The Senior Policy Analyst will play a crucial role in developing policy positions in areas including the tertiary education legislative framework, international education, and student visa policy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing government policy to determine its impacts on operations and objectives.
  • Assisting with developing the company's government relations strategy.
  • Developing advocacy plans for specific government relations campaigns.
  • Building and managing relationships of trust with high-level government officials.
  • Preparing submissions for government policy reviews, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a degree with substantial relevant experience, or extensive experience and policy expertise in tertiary education or other complex regulatory environments.

They will have a sound understanding of policy, operations, and emerging trends in the Australian tertiary education sector, as well as experience producing high-quality briefings and written material.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with high-level interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
