Job Title

A senior professional is needed to enhance the operation of our healthcare compliance monitoring, risk assessment and due diligence programs in Australia and New Zealand.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare compliance-related monitoring and risk assessment, with experience in change management to support effective enhancement of our operations.

We are seeking an experienced compliance professional from the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will have gained exposure to working within a multi-national organization with a US-based headquarters and has relevant experience with the Australian healthcare compliance laws and codes.

  • Support the development and alignment of a multi-faceted healthcare compliance monitoring and risk assessment strategy.
  • Drive the timely development and propagation of ongoing enhancements to our healthcare compliance monitoring and risk assessment program.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and appropriate action is taken to address potential risks and identified issues.

We are looking for a leader who can drive innovation and consistency in our approach to compliance-related monitoring, risk assessment and due diligence.

About the Role

This role reports to the Head of Legal and Compliance and is part of a Legal and Compliance team.

The location of this role will be based in Melbourne, Australia.

The individual will work closely with colleagues across different functions, including key partners such as IT, Commercial, Development, Medical Affairs, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Finance and Clinical, among others.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and aligning on a healthcare compliance monitoring and risk assessment strategy.
  • Driving the timely development and propagation of ongoing enhancements to our healthcare compliance monitoring and risk assessment program.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure timely and appropriate action is taken to address potential risks and identified issues.
  • Partnering with various business functions to explore ways in which monitoring and risk assessment related data may be used to support business strategy and objectives in a compliant manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 7+ years of relevant prior pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience or other experience in highly regulated industries.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree or other similar certification preferred.
  • Project management experience certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
