We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Vision Rehabilitation Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with people who are blind or partially sighted and want to make a meaningful contribution to their rehabilitation journey.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to clients, including facilitating the implementation of rehabilitation plans, providing input into treatment plans, and assisting with the maintenance of adaptive devices.

In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including certified specialists in independent living, orientation and mobility, and low vision. You will also have the opportunity to provide consultation and education to clients and their families on adjustment to vision loss.

To succeed in this position, you will require strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. You will also need to possess a mature and professional demeanor, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred qualifications include post-secondary education in a related field, such as rehabilitation assistance, occupational or physical therapy assistant, social work, or a related field. Previous experience working with individuals who are blind or partially sighted is also an asset.
