Job Overview

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide thoughtful and practical legal support across a wide range of commercial and corporate matters.

You will partner with teams across the business to guide contract negotiations, manage legal risk, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

  • Provide clear, practical legal guidance to help shape ethical judgements, support strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of integrity and care.
  • Review and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements.
  • Provide general legal advice across commercial, consumer, IP, corporate, and property matters.
  • Draft and refine standard contracts and templates.
  • Support dispute resolution and litigation processes.
  • Build and maintain our legal resources database.
  • Facilitate legal training and knowledge-sharing across the business.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and admission to practice in Australia.
  • Around 8 years of relevant legal experience, ideally including in-house or secondment roles.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted partnerships.
  • Commercial acumen and a balanced approach to risk.
  • Confidence to speak up on matters of importance.
  • Experience supporting high-performing teams, especially in sales or commercial environments.
  • Familiarity with the telco sector (a bonus, not essential).
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
