Job Description

Americold partners with farmers and food producers to ensure their perishable and frozen product reaches food suppliers, restaurants, and local grocery stores without spoilage.

As the Transport Director – APAC, you will lead our transport portfolio, delivering commercially astute transport solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategic and operational transport initiatives across APAC
  • Overseeing the management of fleet and assets
  • Driving compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR standards
  • Building strong relationships with carrier partners and ensuring audit readiness
  • Optimising Transport Management Systems for visibility and efficiency
  • Collaborating with Commercial Finance and Business Development on pricing and tenders
  • Managing profit and loss, budgeting, and reporting for transport operations
  • Identifying and implementing transport synergies and growth opportunities
  • Championing safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all transport activities
  • Leading and developing a high-performing team, fostering talent and succession planning

Transport Portfolio Lead: Experienced leader in commercial transport operations with expertise in driving business growth through strategically aligned initiatives. Strong networker with ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders.

Strategic Transport Planning: Results-driven professional with outstanding analytical skills, using data insights to drive decision making and create seamless operational flows.

Asset Management: Skilled expert with extensive knowledge of fleet and asset management principles, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal strategies.

Compliance Management: Highly experienced professional in managing compliance across various regulatory frameworks, ensuring timely implementation of standards and regulations.

People Leadership: Captivating leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of empowering teams to deliver results-driven outcomes through collaborative approaches.
