Trauma Medicine Specialist

Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a Trauma Medicine Specialist to join their team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, one of South Australia's major quaternary facilities. The successful candidate will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to trauma patients and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
About the RoleThe Trauma Fellow will be responsible for the immediate assessment and management of severely injured trauma patients, developing skills in being the Trauma Team Leader and facilitating patients' journey through the hospital. Additionally, they will have an active involvement in teaching Medical Students and Trainee Medical Officers, as well as participating in regular weekly clinical audit and quality, safety, and clinical risk management activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical services to trauma patients
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Lead and coordinate trauma response teams
- Contribute to clinical education and training programs
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate clinical experience in Trauma medicine and the ability to work independently and exercise a high level of professional judgment and medical competence in a multidisciplinary setting.
