About the Role

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma Fellow to join our team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. As a Trauma Fellow, you will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to Trauma Service patients, both in terms of individual performance and by providing clinical leadership and contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care.

You will be responsible for the immediate assessment and management of severely injured trauma patients, developing skills in being the Trauma Team Leader and facilitating patients' journey through the hospital. You will also participate in regular weekly clinical audit and quality, safety and clinical risk management activities and continuous medical education activities.

The Royal Adelaide Hospital is the largest hospital in South Australia, providing world-class healthcare and facilities. As a Trauma Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including medical students, trainee medical officers, and nursing and allied health staff.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner. You will also have completed Basic Life Support (BLS) training and have clinical experience in Trauma medicine.

Past experience in the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff is highly desirable.
