About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Trauma Specialist to join our team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical services of the highest standard to trauma patients, exercising professional judgement and medical competence in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for assessing and managing severely injured trauma patients, developing skills in leadership and facilitating patient care. Additionally, you will participate in teaching Medical Students and Trainee Medical Officers, as well as Nursing and Allied Health staff. Your involvement in regular clinical audit and quality, safety, and clinical risk management activities will contribute to our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical services to trauma patients
  • Develop and maintain skills in leadership and teamwork
  • Teach and mentor junior medical staff
  • Participate in quality and safety initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Clinical experience in trauma medicine
  • Past experience in teaching and supervision
