Executive Quantitative Strategist, Credit Risk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Quantitative Strategist to lead the development and implementation of credit risk optimisation strategies for our organisation.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data analysis and leverage collective strengths and insights to drive strategic decision-making across all lending products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing advanced reporting and analytics solutions to inform application trends, new originations, and portfolio outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of credit risk strategies to support objectives related to customers, risk appetite, profitability, and growth.
  • Optimising end-to-end credit acquisitions through the use of scorecards, serviceability, business/system rules, lending origination tools, credit engines, and automation tools.
  • Ensuring effective monitoring is in place for credit models, lending flows, portfolio concentrations, and risk limits.
  • Providing thought leadership across teams to influence effective design and delivery of leading loan origination pathways.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in quantitative roles within Financial Services.
  • Proficient with data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using DataBricks and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of commonly used credit tools and decision engines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Australian market regulations (APRA, ASIC, AFCA).
