About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Services Compliance Specialist to join our Anton Murray Consulting team in Sydney or Melbourne.

This is a contract role with an initial 12-month duration, offering an opportunity to work with a global tier-one Wealth Management firm.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in wealth management, private banking, client onboarding, and KYC. They should have a strong understanding of UK FSA regulations and Australian regulations.

  • Review documentation provided by clients and sales teams.
  • Evaluate regulatory concerns and escalate them to managers for further review.
  • Identify high-risk triggers and accounts requiring Global Financial Crimes (GFC) signoff.
  • Verify the accuracy of values impacting client ML/TF risk, such as Source of Wealth (SoW) and Total Net Worth.
  • Provide guidance to sales teams on KYC and ML/TF-related matters.
  • Maintain periodic review records and monitor outstanding documentation receipt within required timeframes.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a background in Risk and Compliance or onboarding/periodic review.
  • In-depth knowledge of global AML/KYC standards, particularly Australian and UK-FSA requirements.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively advise sales teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate issues clearly and concisely.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment with high pressure on timeliness and quality.
  • Impressive knowledge of KYC documentation, industry regulations, and best practices.
Compensation

This role offers an estimated daily rate of $490-$545, depending on prior experience in relevant positions.
