Building Services Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management and operations team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality 'hard' facility management services.

The successful candidate will provide support to the facilities management and operations team, ensuring that tasks are allocated efficiently and maintenance occurs in accordance with contractual standards.

  • Manage all building services activities, including planned preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
  • Develop effective working relationships with operators and other members of the contract team.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, site plans, and contractual KPIs.
  • Manage financial requirements, including contract profitability and corporate safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilities Management: Deliver high-quality 'hard' facility management services.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Manage all building services activities, including planned preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
  • Relationship Management: Develop effective working relationships with operators and other members of the contract team.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, site plans, and contractual KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in building or a related field.
  • Strong management experience in a dynamic environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a complex building environment.
