Regulatory Specialist

This role is situated within the Licensing Team, reporting to the Manager, Licensing. The team's mission is to regulate Queensland’s early childhood education and care sector.

  • The successful applicant will apply relevant legislation, standards, policies, and guidelines fairly and consistently when undertaking regulatory functions.
  • They will develop and maintain positive relationships with early childhood education and care providers and services, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve regulatory objectives.

Key responsibilities include assessing applications, quality assessment, and compliance in accordance with legislation and principles of good administrative decision making. The successful applicant will also assess incoming regulatory information, identify risks and issues, and accurately interpret legislation.

Main Responsibilities:

Assessing applications for early childhood education and care services.
Maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of official records.
Providing advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.
