We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Emergency Response: Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, working collaboratively with our team to provide effective and efficient support.
- Community Safety: Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities and outreach programs.
- Training and Development: Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses, ensuring safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of specialist firefighting and rescue equipment, as well as station facilities.
- Reporting and Administration: Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Eligibility: Be eligible to apply for, or hold, a current Blue Card.
- Employer Consent: Obtain employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies.
- Residency: Live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station.
- Australian Citizenship: Hold Australian Permanent Resident Status.
- Driver's License: Possess a Manual C Class driver's licence.
