About the Role

As an Auxiliary Firefighter with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, you will play a vital role in supporting our emergency response efforts. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities, and developing and maintaining competencies through regular drills and training courses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, working as part of a team to ensure effective and safe operations.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities, such as presentations and workshops.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses, ensuring you are equipped to handle a range of emergency situations.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training, ensuring you are available to respond when needed.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner, adhering to QFES policies and procedures.
