About the Role

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in responding to emergency incidents and contributing to the safety and well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency incidents, including fires, rescues, and other emergency situations.
  • Contribute to community education and awareness programs to promote fire safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Participate in regular training and drills to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with other emergency services and stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of fire stations and equipment.
Requirements
  • Eligible to apply for, or hold, a current Blue Card.
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable).
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station.
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
