About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to provide building maintenance services, equipment management, painting, and gardening activities across our Aged Care Homes. This role involves maintaining plant, equipment, buildings, and services, ensuring up-to-date records of chemicals in use, and maintaining the grounds in a neat and tidy manner.

A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Officer

  • Maintaining plant, equipment, building, and services
  • Ensuring up-to-date records of chemicals in use and compliance with safety and best practices
  • Maintaining the grounds in a neat and tidy manner
  • Identifying preventative maintenance requirements, completing works, and documenting schedules
  • Ensuring preventative and corrective maintenance is actioned within legal requirements and documented in relevant registers

What We Look for

  • General hands-on maintenance or handyman skills
  • Maintenance of grounds, general painting skills, maintaining garden beds, and knowledge of gardening equipment
  • Experience in supervision or coordination of maintenance programs
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
