Darcon Engineering Pty Ltd is a leading civil construction company that provides integrated services to public and private clients. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager - Rail Infrastructure to join our team in the Hunter Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our Site Engineering and Supervisory Team to manage civil and rail projects, ensuring projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Manage the work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes, utilizing effective time management skills, including sequencing of work and resource time management.
  • Develop and manage all project-specific documentation.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of existing designs.

Requirements:

  • A degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or a similar field.
  • Rail experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • A high level of technical expertise.
  • Experience on civil construction sites, concrete, or bulk earthworks projects would be welcomed.
  • A Class C Driver's License.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage time and plan effectively in a fast-paced, diverse, and ever-changing environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to negotiate and influence others at various levels of business.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team, building strong relationships with those around you.
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead a team forward to meet key project milestones and deliverables.
  • Confidence in decision-making ability, particularly the ability to think outside the square, problem-solve, and act accordingly.
  • Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do.
  • The potential to coach and mentor less experienced team members to assist in their development and transfer of skills and expertise.
