About the Role

We are seeking reliable and compassionate Domestic Service Assistants to join our team at VMCH. As a Domestic Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a range of domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment, including cleaning residents' rooms, communal areas, and administrative spaces.
  • Ensure common living areas, hallways, and other areas of the facility are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Store and manage cleaning materials safely and securely, adhering to MSDS guidelines and consulting with the Residential Services Manager.
  • Report stock shortages, breakages, and equipment defects to the Residential Services Manager promptly.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies while observing safety procedures.
  • Participate in part-time shifts on weekdays and weekends, as scheduled.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective communication and compassion when interacting with residents, families, employees, and volunteers.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Well-developed prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with discretion.
