About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Domestic Services Assistant to join our team at VMCH. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment
  • Cleaning residents' rooms, including ensuites, furniture, and equipment, as well as communal and administrative areas
  • Ensuring common living areas, hallways, and other areas of the facility are maintained in a clean and tidy condition
  • Managing cleaning materials and supplies, including replenishing stock and reporting any issues to the Residential Services Manager
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to provide a high level of service to our residents

This is a casual opportunity, perfect for someone looking for flexible work across a variety of days.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and colleagues. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and organisational skills.
