Homelessness Support Role

This role is part of a specialist service providing safe and appropriate temporary accommodation for vulnerable young expectant mothers in the Parramatta area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clients to make informed choices and promote independence.
  • Contribute to case planning with the case manager.
  • Assist with intake and assessment of clients, maintaining accurate records.
  • Apply trauma-informed practice when providing support to individuals who have experienced trauma.
  • Ensure high standards of conduct and performance.
  • Coordinate seamless service delivery and facilitate effective communication.
  • Engage actively in team meetings, performance management, and continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to organisational values, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive working environment.
  • Transport clients when required.
  • Provide general administrative support.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Certificate IV in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work, or a related field.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Valid Driver's License
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience working with homelessness, youth, women's and children's mental health.
  • Proficiency in working with vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of best practices for Specialist Homelessness funded Services.
  • Computer skills for timely and accurate client information.
