The Opportunity
The Tasman Hobart is currently in search of a dedicated and experienced Night Duty Manager. We are looking for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering seamless and transformative guest experiences while managing administrative and communication responsibilities.
If you possess experience in a similar capacity, are a natural organizer, capable of multitasking, detail-oriented, and adept at resolving issues calmly and professionally, this role may be ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities
Embark on your journey with us as a Night Duty Manager. Your responsibilities will include managing guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and requests for room changes or late check-outs, securing payments, activating or reissuing room keys, and addressing guest inquiries. You will ensure an exceptional guest experience in all aspects of your role.
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead and inspire others; advocate for sound financial and business decision-making; demonstrate integrity and lead by example.
- Supervise and manage team members, overseeing daily operations and understanding employee roles to perform duties in their absence.
- Foster open and collaborative relationships with team members, ensuring a supportive environment.
- Analyze financial statements, sales reports, and performance data to assess productivity and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in addressing and resolving guest issues, whether directly or through Guest Relations.
- Ensure timely processing of chargebacks and rebates.
- Manage complaints, resolve disputes, and negotiate effectively.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all departments to support property operations and expedite problem resolution.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a Front Office Duty Manager.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to connect emotionally with guests and deliver superior service.
- Experience in conflict resolution.
- Flexibility to work a 24-hour rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Familiarity with OPERA property management system is advantageous.
- Must possess full working rights for Australia.
