Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Recovery Worker to provide one-on-one support to individuals with persistent and severe mental illness.
As a permanent part-time employee, you will facilitate recovery by working closely with residents to identify and develop person-centred goals, promoting their independence and community involvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualised support services to facilitate recovery
- Working closely with relevant managers, external primary care & clinical staff
- Assisting with domestic activities such as cleaning, cooking & shopping
- Monitoring & supporting medication management
- Supporting clients to achieve short term / long term recovery goals
- Helping clients become active community members
- Identifying opportunities for education, training & employment
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- Certificate III in Mental Health, or higher qualification, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity working with people experiencing mental health conditions
- Commitment to facilitating recovery using individualised support services
- Initiative & motivation to work independently
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- A knack for problem solving & negotiation
