Job Overview

  • Creating curriculum adjustments for students, requiring an understanding of NSW curricula.
  • Planning, writing, and delivering structured lessons that differentiate and personalize learning for each student.
  • Embedding effective pedagogy into lesson plans to engage students.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to implement feedback and participate in coaching and mentoring programs.
  • Supporting students with diverse needs, including disabilities, behavioral challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low literacy/numeracy levels, and mental illness.
  • Developing Individual Learning Plans for all students and embedding strategies from these plans in lessons to support student needs.
  • Providing timely and specific feedback to students to support learning growth through formative assessment practices.
  • Assessing and reporting student achievement and progress.
  • Managing classroom behavior, including an understanding of trauma-informed practice or willingness to gain this knowledge.
  • Building positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
Requirements
  • A National Police Check issued within three months prior to the offer and annually thereafter.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Current NESA accreditation (NSW)
