The Position

We seek a dedicated teacher to join our progressive, independent school with a growing national network of campuses.

Our schools are located in areas of socio-economic disadvantage, working with students who have struggled to engage with mainstream education.

Our goal is to re-engage students with learning, improve literacy and numeracy skills, and focus on the next step in their learning journey.

Our highly experienced teaching team is supported by a Head of School, Assistant Heads of School, Education Support Assistants, and Welfare Officers.

For this position, applicants must be willing and able to provide:

  • A National Police Check issued within three months prior to the offer, and annually thereafter.
  • Working with Children Check
  • Hold a current NESA accreditation(NSW)

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Preparation and delivery of programs aligned with appropriate curriculum.
  • Enhancing effectiveness in the classroom through improved teacher knowledge, practice, and professional engagement.
  • Ensuring the most effective use of time and resources in delivering classes aligned to students' individual learning and pathways plans.
  • Promoting the school's alternative educational model to ensure student goals and personal outcomes are achieved.

Job Requirements

  • Writing curriculum that provides adjustments for students.
  • Planning, writing, and delivering structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.
  • Embedding best practice pedagogy into lesson plans to engage students.
  • Working collaboratively in a small team to implement feedback.
  • Embracing opportunities to participate in coaching and mentoring programs.
  • Supporting students with a range of learning needs.
  • Collaborating to write Individual Learning Plans for all students.
  • Assessing and reporting student achievement and progress.

Remuneration
