We are seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to join our high performing Divisional Contracts and Commercial team in Victoria Park, with ad hoc site travel. You will see yourself supporting all sites, projects, regions on fast paced and high value projects.


This role will require you to draft and negotiate subcontracts, administration, variation and claims including upstream recovery, through to closeout. You will also participate in the review and assisting with the administration, negotiation and execution of variations and claims to client contracts and subcontracts.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in the review and assisting with the administration, negotiation and execution of variations and claims to client contracts and subcontracts.
  • Contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment.
  • Identify and maximise cost and schedule saving opportunities.
  • High level written skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Involved in the process of identifying and raising potential risks or issues.
  • Providing a level of guidance and advice, to relevant stakeholders internal and external.
  • Interpreting contractual documentation and making recommendations for action.
  • Manage and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • At least 5 years of Contracts experience, ideally within the resources sector.
  • Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying would be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current contract law, relevant legislation and its application to the mining and oil and gas industries.
  • Strong understanding of various contract models (lump sum, cost reimbursable, schedule of rates etc.)
  • Adaptability to provide coverage for on-site Contracts Administrators during their annual and sick leave.
  • Sound proficiency in the use of MS Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in a similar work environment and the ability to work autonomously as well as a pro-active team member in a cooperative environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills for a diverse and challenging workload.
  • An ability to engage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
