About the Role

The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the prevention and control measures of foodborne and enteric diseases across the networked public health system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement statewide strategies to prevent and control foodborne and enteric diseases
  • Provide authoritative advice on public health matters to management and external agencies
  • Prepare and present written and verbal reports, including policy, protocols, and briefing material
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to achieve public health goals
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local public health units and external stakeholders
  • Support epidemiology, surveillance, and intelligence services to monitor disease trends and evaluate interventions
  • Develop capability and best practice communicable diseases control through leadership, education, and advocacy
