Senior Finance and Accounting Expert Sought:
A key position has emerged within a major Australian industrial services organization undergoing comprehensive ERP transformation and business improvement initiatives.
This 12-month contract opportunity offers the chance to assume a senior analyst role, partnering with senior executives to drive strategic decision-making, challenge assumptions, and enhance business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive finance planning and analysis (FP&A) and commercial finance activities during organizational transformation
- Partner with divisional leaders to influence strategic decision-making
- Consolidate and standardize reporting across multiple branches nationally
- Analyze productivity, efficiency, and recovery rates to identify improvement opportunities
- Develop financial models in Excel and create insightful Power BI dashboards
- Act as second-in-command to the Head of FP&A, contributing to leadership discussions and transformation strategy
Requirements:
- Proven experience in FP&A and commercial finance within a service-based or multi-site business
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel capability
- Strong Power BI skills, able to build and standardize reports from scratch
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation across multiple divisions
- Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and challenge the status quo with confidence
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with adaptability to shape a role in a changing environment
What You'll Bring: A commercially astute individual with expertise in FP&A and commercial finance, capable of delivering results in complex environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will be able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior executives. They should also be proficient in using relevant software tools and technologies, including Excel, Power BI, and financial modelling techniques.
