Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team as an Inpatient Rehabilitation Team Leader at Bulli Hospital. This is a temporary full-time opportunity until 5 October 2025, with the possibility of extension at same/reduced hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level clinical input and decision-making in rehabilitation physiotherapy services at Bulli Hospital.
  • Lead the rehabilitation physiotherapy team at Bulli Hospital, participating in shared site-based leadership and managerial support.
  • Relieve as Acting Physiotherapy Unit Head Bulli and Coledale Hospitals, as required.
  • Develop and implement high-quality specialist physiotherapy services for complex client groups, operating autonomously with minimal direct clinical supervision.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement clinical expertise and specialized knowledge in their specialty to patients and carers of ISLHD, in accordance with NSW Health, ISLHD, and physiotherapy policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to Level 1 and 2 health professionals, technical and support staff, students, and other staff as appropriate.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting on clinical services.
  • Provide a consultative role within their area of expertise, conducting clinical research and participating in clinical in-service education programs to staff and students.
Requirements
  • Current Physiotherapy Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in the clinical specialty area or high-level broad generalist knowledge.
  • Demonstrated high levels of oral and written communication skills, including proficient use of health-based technology.
  • Demonstrated commitment and evidence of implementation of ISLHD core values.
  • Knowledge and proven ability to undertake quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level supervision to staff and/or students.
  • Current NSW drivers' license or equivalent.
