We are seeking a highly skilled Data Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Data Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Maintain a deep understanding of data components including Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL and PostgreSQL, and operate and automate properly configured clusters.">
  • Understand operating databases in Kubernetes and manage container images.">
  • Develop infrastructure services to support a DevOps approach for engineering teams.">
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues, regardless of when they occur.">
  • Ensure petabytes of critical business data are safe, secure, and available.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Configuration management (Chef)">
  • Scripting in Python and Bash">
  • Experience with large-scale datastores using Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL">
  • Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments">
  • Experience operating within the cloud, preferably AWS, GCP and OCI">
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams">
  • Strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure">
  • Excellent verbal and written communication">
  • Independent yet collaborative with the prudence to ask for help when needed">
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, CIS or Engineering">
