Family Safety Advocate

In this crucial position, you will play a vital role in maintaining family stability and ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.
Main Responsibilities:- You will be responsible for responding to reports of potential safety risks affecting children or young people who may have been harmed.
- Your key task will be to collaborate sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people to address concerns related to their safety and well-being.
- You will assist families in formulating goals that align with their needs, provide appropriate support through home visits, and develop tailored safety plans.
- You will manage complex cases and situations, including working with high-needs and high-risk clients and their families.
- You will be involved in court processes, including the preparation of relevant documents and attending court proceedings.
- You must hold either a completed or current Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science and Welfare, accompanied by relevant practical experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is your ability to build positive working relationships.
- A valid driver's license (P1 or above) and a paid Working with Children clearance number are also mandatory.
- A competitive salary from $87,315 – $113,562 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
