Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly capable and driven Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our dry storage operations.

This role presents a unique opportunity for a seasoned leader to drive cultural transformation, uplift team engagement and deliver operational excellence in warehouse management.

Purpose of the Role

  • Lead and coach, building engagement and ownership from the ground up through effective leadership and coaching skills.
  • Champion a culture of safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement by fostering an environment that prioritizes employee safety and wellbeing.
  • Drive cultural and behavioural change to improve team engagement and accountability by implementing processes and procedures that encourage open communication and teamwork.
  • Empower team members through coaching, feedback, and development planning to help them achieve their full potential and contribute to the success of the warehouse operation.
  • Oversee warehouse operations including inventory management, order fulfillment, and supply chain logistics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet service levels and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Manage labour costs, rosters, and training to align with business needs and optimize productivity.
  • Maintain product quality and food safety standards by adhering to HACCP, SQF, and WQA guidelines.
  • Deliver on KPIs and performance goals across safety, quality, and service to drive business growth and profitability.

About You

  • Strong leadership experience within a FMCG warehouse environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cultural change and improving team engagement is critical to this role.
  • Proven ability to coach and empower individuals to achieve their potential is necessary for success in this position.
  • Deep understanding of safety, compliance, and food quality standards is required.
  • Exposure and understanding of lean processes and focus on continuous improvement are desirable.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally is crucial.
